Fill before Thanksgiving?

What would you do??  The last 3 times I had a fill, it was too much and I had to have some taken back out.  Since the last unfill, I have been able to eat anything I want.  And I do.  I have no self control, which is why I got the band in the first place.  Now I want another SMALL fill (I've figured out that we are being too aggressive with my fills so we need to do smaller amounts) but my question to myself and anyone who wants to respond is:  do I do this fill next Monday, 3 days before Thanksgiving OR do I do it the Monday after Thanksgiving??????

I can't decide on my own.  Part of me wants to do it before so I won't be able to eat all that good Turkey day food and gain even more than I have BUT the food addict part of me wants to wait till after so I CAN enjoy whatever I want on Turkey day despite that fact that I will gain more.

I know ultimately the choice is mine.................but what would you do?

I would do it before.  The reason you got the band is to lose weight.  You can still enjoy the feast but you'll measure it in spoonful measurements instead of a plate-full of each item.  Just my opinion though

I would get the fill.  Food is such a non-topic to me now...even during the holidays.  I was banded right before Thanks giving last year and wasn't put out by having runny potatoes and gravy at all!
Looking forward to my 3,4 bites of t-day dinner and NOT feeling like a stuffed cow for the 2nd time in a row!!

Best Wishes!!

I'm in the same situation. I have an appointment on the 25th of November to have a fill, but I'm thinking about doing it after Thanksgiving. I know if I do it before that I won't be able to enjoy the holiday.

That's me!! Plus I am scared with the luck I've had the last 3 times that I will be too tight again and then I'll really be miserable. Oh what to do??????

I've had 3 fills so far, its a little uncomfortable but I wouldnt say it hurts.  The band aid hurt more than the fill lol.

Thanks for the reminder-I need to call to get an appointment today, before another week goes by and I use the holiday as an excuse to overeat.   Just a taste of mashed taters and punkin pie will be enough for me!

I would get the fill.  I totally understand the lurking food addict who wants to enjoy the holiday but with a small fill you can still have a little of everything you like.

OTOH, my doctor does lots of small fills so I've never been overfilled and that would definitely suck over the holiday so you are completely justified in waiting until after so you won't have any issues at a time when care will be harder to get.
